Happy March 1st everyone! :-)

It's been a long tiring few days!  Seems like I spend most of the day down in the barn these days with lamb feedings every 4 hours plus both milkings.  It's so fun to have the barn so full of life.  The quads are doing very well.  They were really happy to get their tetanus shots and tails banded today. (NOT) But they are very tolerant little creatures.

Ginger and Muffin got special collars today.  The boys say "hey whata 'bout us?!"
On Sunday I have a buyer coming for one of the boys already.  She doesn't know whether she wants Peanut or Brownie yet.  Brownie sure is big!

Yesterday we went to Raintree and bought some blueberry bushes and tea bushes.  They will be planted alternately behind this wall once the topsoil comes in and extra blocks get stacked.  Then we bought a mulberry bush, because we thought it would be neat to have.  We also bought a fig tree in remembrance of Richie's grandpa Ken.   It's the stick looking thing in the right corner.  I am so excited to get all these things planted!

  1. Oh, the lambs are just sooo cute! It's amazing to think Elsie really had FOUR!!! I bet as much work as it is, you are enjoying every minute of their sweetness! Glad the girls got accessorized. That's important for girls. :-) They look fabulous!

Wow, that's a lot of trees/bushes! How awesome! I bet you are excited! It's always so fun to plant new things and watch them grow, and of course, you can never have too many blueberry bushes! :-)

You guys sure are busy . . .and happy. . . farmers!
    Love you,

  2. Let me know when the top soil arrives! I will be glad to help. I think the name Peanut is very fitting for that cute little guy. Reminds me of Peanut the chicken! :0)

    Love you!

  3. Did you all buy a monkey to chase a weasel around that Mulberry bush too? Sorry i couldnt resist ;) Vickie Adams
