Bottle Feeding Day 1

It's going to take the lambs awhile to get the hang of it!

I decided to name them Smith and Wesson.  I guess I'll lose gun-control supporting customers, but then again...I don't really want them anyway!

Wesson got castrated today.  Smith escaped because he's one of the nicest ram lambs ever born to any of my ewes.  He would be an excellent dairy herd sire.

  1. Haha! Great names! Which one is Smith and which one is Wesson?

    They are cute!

  2. Oh, they are sooooo cute!! Love the names! Hope they catch on to the bottle real quick. I'm sure they will!
Keep sending pics when you can! We love 'em!
    Love you,

  3. Great names!!!

We are still trying to get rid of Sterling..... well I am anyway. But, my dad has grown very fond of him now, so he is trying to talk me into letting him keep him. lol Sterling needs to be a herd sire. He has such a nice temperament, and is such a handsome boy!

  4. Victoria, Smith is the white one and Wesson is the spotted one. :-)

Hannah...sorry you're still trying to sell Sterling! I would love to have him, except I already have too many rams ;-) Sterling's dad is such a sweetheart. I've really grown to love the Licester breed...seems like they're more docile than the dairy rams.
