Hello all!

It's the 3rd day of chemo, and Richie's still feeling really good!  He had maybe a little nausea yesterday, but the nurse gave him some medication to make sure it went away and didn't get any worse.  He still has a great appetite.  I wish they'd bring him more food though...the portions are 96 year old lady size.  He's learned  to order several things off of the menu to ensure his belly actually gets filled.  We're both looking forward to eating good food at home in a few days!

The nurses must have been busy and not had as much time to kill last night.  We weren't interrupted more than a couple of times, so we did get several solid hours of good sleep.

It looks like we're going to be getting out of here on Sunday morning.  It was originally going to be Saturday, but since the chemo got started on Tuesday instead of Monday, they had to move that estimate departure date back a little.

Some good news we heard a couple days ago is that the MRI scan of Richie's head came back negative.  That means they didn't find any cancer on the brain.  Or as Richie says "They scanned my head and didn't find anything in there." ;-)

Here are some pictures of the view out our window.

  1. Oh, so good to hear all the awesome news! Better sleep, good appetite, good results from the MRI scan, nice view from your window? :-) God is answerering! We can't wait to see you soon. I know they are enjoying you two up there, but we sure miss you down here. But we know they are taking great care of you, so we are thankful! We chuckled again at Richie's sense of humor about the MRI scan. : -) "A cheerful heart is good medicine!"
We love you two sooooo much!

  2. Hi Dear Ones!

Glad to hear Richie's head was negative (lol) . . . but I, for one, know they would have had much to find there. Just might not have liked what they found up there in liberal land!

Great pictures from your honeymoon suite! Hey, just have Richie order two of everything going forward.

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. - Mat 5:14-16 NASB

    I Love You Both,

  6. Seattle must not have experienced the thunder and lightning storm that kept me awake last night. Of course, you may not have heard it anyway in your hermetically sealed room. My dog was hyperventilating but I went out on the back porch for a time and marveled at the glimpse of God's power.

    Always praying,
    Cynthia
