"Much of the confusion that characterizes our society is the result of the violation of God's design.  The blueprint has been lost."~Let Me Be a Woman p. 121

"Wait for the Lord and keep his way.  He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it."  Psalm 37:34

The other day we all went out to the Tacoma mall to shop for bridesmaids dresses.  Believe me when I say it is next to impossible to find a dress that my sisters wouldn't mind being caught dead in.  It's scary, disgusting, sad, and at the same time it makes me laugh to see the utter ridiculousness of the styles that are "in" right now.

I wonder if I would get a discount from a salesperson if I complained that the dress I wanted was missing a sleeve or two and about 2ft of fabric at the hem.  Probably not...she'd most likely look at me disgustedly and mumble something under her breath like "country bumpkin...where have you been for the past 5 yrs...in the woods?"

It's absurd.

My little Lilly and June had to come with us to Tacoma of course...they needed to be fed a couple times while we were out.  People had the funniest responses to seeing a couple of lambs being bottle-fed in the parking lots.  [Insert the Beverly Hillbillys' theme song]  Sometimes it was hard to tell whether the people were more shocked to see the lambs or by the fact that I wern't speakn' to 'em unedumacated-like.

In the background you can see Daddy loading up the van at costco...we call him "The Master Packer" because of the way he can stack so much stuff in an orderly fashion and make it all fit.

It was a looooong day...we were gone for 11hrs.

More New Lambs :-)

I've always said that sheep are rather addictive...they're like potato chips: "You can't have just one!"
I went out and bought 2 bottle babies on Sunday.  I'll raise them for milking and if I EVER get around to using the wool, their fleeces will be AMAZING.

What did I tell you?  No goofy faces!

You start to feel like a real farm girl when your barn chores take you several hours every day.
(Or a real tired farm girl, I should say.)

Coram Deo

“Wherever man may stand, whatever he may do, to whatever he may apply his hand, in agriculture,
in commerce,
and in industry,
or his mind, in the world of art,
and science, he is, in whatsoever it may be, constantly standing before the face of his God, he is employed in the service of his God, he has strictly to obey his God, and above all, he has to aim at the glory of his God.”

It's Officially Official!

Yes, we are now  engaged :-)
It's been a long process...one that wasn't always fun and easy, in fact, the last few months have admittedly been some of the most difficult times of me and Richie's life.  But we did so much growing and learning through it all, and though I often wished that the pre-courtship process didn't have to be so hard and at times painful, it was good, it was worth it, and the Lord showed His love and faithfulness to us every step of the way.  I am still in awe of the way God had this all planned before the world even came to be, and how every event in history has been perfectly orchestrated and planned out.  I can't believe He chose to bless me with this incredible man...the man that I dreamed about and prayed for since I was 5 years old.  All the praise and glory belongs to Him, for His ways are so much higher than ours!

Daddy goofing off ;-)
